Health Ministry Team

The Health Ministry Team of Sts. Peter & Paul Parish has been meeting since January of 2001. We have made a commitment to provide ways to strengthen the whole person:

BODY, MIND, and SPIRIT - for our faith community.

MISSION:

The mission of the Health Ministry is to help the congregation care for one another ... to help attain, maintain, and/or regain the best possible whole person health - wellness of BODY, MIND and SPIRIT.

PURPOSE:

The purpose of the Health Ministry is to make available resources and activities related to the BODY, MIND and SPIRIT for the direct and indirect needs of our parishioners and their caregivers.  We strive to share the Gospel message of Jesus by being in service to others.

Our Health Ministry welcomes all to experience the WHOLENESS and HEALING of the Great Physician, Jesus.

Healing was a significant part of Jesus' ministry on earth.  Jesus' ministry dealt with healing body, mind and spirit.  Healing was not limited to physical healing.  In fact, physical healing was not always primary.

"Great crowds came to Him, bringing the lame, the blind, the crippled, the dumb and many others, and He laid them at His feet and He healed them."

SAINTS PETER & PAUL HEALTH MINISTRY WILL:

• Encourage members of our Parish to participate in programs to attain and maintain healthy lifestyles that are based on our faith.

• Care for those in need through prayer, service and support.

• Provide assistance to our priests in helping with visitation to the members of our parish in need.

• Embrace the current efforts of existing parish programs to strengthen their foundations and broaden their scopes.

• Partner with other faith communities and community services.

In general, health ministry challenges, enables, nurtures and sustains people to be good stewards of the gift of life.
